Meet the Director
Aquatics Director, Lyndsey Hawkins
Lyndsey has spent a lifetime in and around the water, turning a deep personal passion into a meaningful career in aquatics leadership. Growing up on Lake Winnipesaukee, swimming quickly became second nature and sparked a lifelong love of the water. After discovering competitive swimming in elementary school, Lyndsey competed through high school, eventually becoming a certified lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor as soon as eligible.
At just 18, she completed a 22-mile swim across Boston Harbor to raise funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an achievement that speaks to her dedication, endurance, and heart.
As a parent, she passed that love of swimming on to her daughter, who swam competitively from age five through high school. This connection led to a coaching opportunity with the Lakes Region Wavemakers, the same club team Lyndsey once swam for; and later to a role as Head Swim Coach at Bishop Brady High School, where
she continues to inspire and lead young athletes today.
With a background in orthopedics, Lyndsey also understands the critical role water can play in rehabilitation and lifelong wellness. She actively promotes aquatic exercise as a safe, low-impact option for people of all ages and abilities and encourages anyone to look for a joint-friendly way to stay active to give aqua therapy or aquatic fitness programs a try.
Blending clinical insight, personal passion, and years of hands-on experience in instruction and coaching, Lyndsey brings a unique and compassionate leadership style to our aquatic program, one that is rooted in safety, empowerment, and community.
